RADIOLA 16, 17 AND 18 TRF MODELS WERE INTRODUCED IN 1927, A YEAR BEFORE RCA BEGAN SELLING MASS-MARKET SUPERHETRODYNE RECEIVERS. THE RADIOLA 16 IS A 6-TUBE BATTERY SET. THE 17 USES 6 AC TUBES, PLUS ONE 80 IN A SEPARATE POWER PACK. THE 18 IS IDENTICAL TO THE 17, EXCEPT THE RF STAGES ARE NEUTRALIZED. (REF. 1) - Area Notes
