Technical: APPEARS HAMILTON MAY HAVE BEEN 1ST TO PRODUCE THE DOUBLE-WALLED GALLEYS WHICH MADE THEM STRONGER & KEPT TYPE SQUARE ON THE CORNERS & SIDES. HAMILTON TURNED THE WALLS INWARD WHILE CHALLENGE, NOT WANTING TO INFRINGE THE HAMILTON PATENT, TURNED THEIRS OUTWARD. THESE GALLEYS WERE ALSO BEADED WITH DRAINAGE OPENINGS AT THE ENDS.
