Brooks Steam Motors Ltd. was founded by Oland J. Brooks in 1923 in Straford, Ontario at the intersection of three railways that would later become CN. He therefore had access to tradesmen trained in the manufacturing of steam technology readily available for his project. The car was probably originally in the Gordon E. Smith collection.
