"The Warner & Swasey Prism Binocular was pronounced superior to all others and recommended for adoption as the standard for the Navy…Previous to the adoption of the Warner & Swasey Prism Binocular last year, no glasses of the prism type were in use in the Navy…All manufacture was stopped after World War I."
