Function: AN INSTRUMENT THAT MEASURES ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE THROUGH ITS EFFECT ON A COLUMN OF MERCURY.
Technical: THIS REPRESENTS A RADICALLY NEW BAROMETER DESIGN PATENTED BY ABRAHAM IN 1937. IT HAS FORTIN TYPE ADJUSTABLE CISTERN & STAINLESS STEEL POINT IN SIDE TUBE. POINT IS ILLUMINATED BY WINDOW IN SIDE TUBE & VIEWEDBY EYEPIECE. BAROMETER WAS INTENDED TO PROVIDE HIGH ACCURACY WHILE REMAINING EASY TO SET.

Markings: Incised black lettering on scale and vernier reading 'CASELLA/ LONDON', '3362', & 'MADE IN ENGLAND', for 87 to 111 & 26 to 32/incised black lettering on thermometer mount for -20 to +120 F. & 270 to 320 absolute.
Missing: From CA of 11/03/1993 by Tony Missio: No - Complete
Finish: BLACK ENAMEL, MOTTLED GREEN, AND BRUSHED METAL CASING/ BRASS COLOURED PARTS/ CLEAR COLOURLESS GLASS.
