- lettering hand painted on canvas at lower right reads: "MARTCHENKO 89"; lettering printed on outer border above image reads: "This lithograph is one of a Single Edition limited to 850 copies and 50 Artist Proofs Published by Anvid MacBeaver Ltd., Box 640, Yellowknife, N.W.T., Canada"; lettering printed on inner border below image reads: "Beaver One/by/Michael Martchenko/The Legendary DHC-2 De Havilland Beaver is portrayed during it's maiden flight on floats on September 16, 1947 near Toronto Island, flown by wartime Mosquito pilot RUSS BANNOCK./C.H. Punch DICKINS was Director of Sales of De Havilland Canada at the time and R.D. Dick HISCOCKS was in charge of the company's technical office. Managing Director P.C. (Phil) GARRATT made/the production decisions and selected the (now famous) name./Conceived and designed to satisfy rugged Canadian aviation operating conditions, it was an outstanding success due to the dedication of the entire multi-talented De Havilland Canada team and has proven to be one of the/milestones of Canadian aviation achievements.
