THE SLOTS & FINS ON THE COMMAND (SMALLER) ANTENNA WERE MADE BY PRECISION CUTTING. THE SHAPE OF THE SLOTS ON THE COMMAND ANTENNA ALLOWS AS MANY AS POSSIBLE SLOTS TO BE PACKED AROUND THE CIRCUMFER- ENCE OF THE SMALL CIRCULAR WAVEGUIDE. THE DESIGN OF THEMATCHING FEED MINIMIZES REFLECTIONS. THIS DESIGN HAS BEEN SUPERCEDED BY THE MORE ADVANCED & INNOVATIVE, & COST-EFFECTIVE ANIK E DESIGN. - Area Notes
