IT WAS MOUNTED ON A STEEL REINFORCING POST, WHICH WAS THEN FLATTENED AT THE END, TO PREVENT REMOVAL. ALUMINUM WAS, HOWEVER, BRITTLE & COULD BE BROKEN IF STRUCK. THIS STYLE REPLACED THE THREADED CAP 940449.
