Function: To cut a "pinked edge" on fabrics to obtain a decorative pattern, and so that they will not unravel. A pinked pattern resembles a saw tooth/saw blade.
Technical: Well-made, sturdy attachment was simple to fix to most Singer sewing machines, and produced a clean, uniform cut.

Markings: "SINGER U.S.A." and "121021" cast in raised print on attachment body. "LOOSEN" and directional arrow incised on adjustment screw. "121110/ SIMANCO/ U.S.A", "121011/ SIMANO/ U.S.A.", "120334/ SIMANCO/ U.S.A." and "MADE IN USA 6201-2Z SKF" incised in various component parts. "6.00" handwritten in black grease pencil on driving fork lever.
Missing: Appears complete. May be missimg wire ("A" in Fig. 1, p.2 of manual]/
Finish: All metal construction. Main body has black enamel finish; cutting blade, blade guard, scale clamp, and other parts have silver metal finish.
