- "ROYAL" appears in silver print on centre top of typewriter. All keys marked. "ROYAL/ PORTABLE", "ROYAL TYPEWRITER CO., INC. N.Y./ PROTECTED BY AMERICAN AND FOREIGN PATENTS./ MADE IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." and "PATENTED/ 1923 1924 1926" printed in goldtone decalling on back of typewriter body. Goldtone decal on back right reads "THOMAS AND CORNEY/ TORONTO, ON[T]". Serial number "P128698" incised in plate on back right of typewriter.
