- Markings
- "KETCHUM'S/ OTTAWA/ B446" stamped into one side of ink roller and marking mechanism housing. "B446" also incised in one end of marking roller. "CANADA/ CHOICE" [repeated twice] and separated by patterns of dots forms endless loop of text.

- Metal marking mechanism; fabric sleeve covers ink roller. These areas stained red by ink. Turned wooden handle has red colour finish; silver metal hardware secures handle & mechanism.
