CALLER ID SERVICES DEPEND ON AN OUT-OF-BAND SIGNALLING SYSTEM ADOPTED BY TELEPHONE COMPANIES IN THE LATE 1980S. CALLED SS7 OR CCS7, THIS SYSTEM SEGREGATES THE VOICE CALL & SIGNALLING INFO.
