The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) was administered by the RCAF between 1940 & 1945 to train commonwealth air crew, and was one of Canada's greatest contributions to the allied effort during the second world war. Many participants, including instructors, were civilian volunteers organized by the Canadian Flying Clubs Association, who wore distinctive uniforms and insignia. - Function
