THISSTETHOSCOPE WAS USED BY SIR BERTAM WINDLE (1858-1929) IN THE EARLY DAYS OF HIS MEDICAL PRACTICE. HE CAME TO TORONTO IN 1919, AFTER BEING APPOINTED PROF. OF ANTHROPOLOGY IN THE PHILOSOPHY DEPT. OF ST. MICHAEL'S COLLEGE AND SPECIAL LECTURER IN ETHNOLOGY OF UNIV. OF TORONTO (REF. 3). - Function
