- "H.S. CRABTREE LIMITED/ TORONTO" stamped on surface of lower rule. Adjacent scales on upper rule divided 10-170 and 190 to 350; labelled at intervals of 10. "NW", fleur-de-lis [symbol for North] and "NE" stamped on upper rule. Scales onlower rule are divided but not labelled. Compass directions "SW", "S" and "SE" stamped on lower rule.
