FISHER,/ Brockville, - - - Ont." printed on package front; "EXTRA EARLY RUSSIAN/ CUCUMBER./ The earliest sort cultivated ; v[ery]/ productive, yields through the ent[ire]/ season. Excellent for cutting fr[esh]/ for the table, and also for pickli[ng.]/ It grows of small size, but its ea[si]/ ness and productiveness render i[t a]/ favourite./ CULTURE. - Plant after the gro[und]/ is settled and warm, in hills thre[e or]/ four feet apart. When all da[nger]/ from bugs and worms is past, [illegible]/ the plants, leaving three or f[our]/ to a hill. Remove the cucum[bers]/ from the vine as soon as they ar[e a]/ suitable size ; when left to ripen t[illegible]/ prevent new fruit forming./ FROM A. L.
