This cellular phone belongs to Motorola's Micro TAC family of phones. Motorola's ealiest cellular phones, the Dyna TAC series, were succeeded by the Micro TAC line in the late 1980s. While the early models introduced in 1989 were analogue, the TDMA and GSM models were produced starting in 1994. Motorola released the short-lived Micro DIGITAL model in 1994. It operated on the Analog and TDMA networks and was similar in appearance to the Alpha model. - Area Notes
