Type of tool used by Canadian cheese testers. Also called a cheese tryer. The donor was a dairy products tester in Toronto from about 1952 until 1955 to measure fat, salt and moisture content. He would travel from retail stores to processing firms. His territory was from Young Street in Toronto to Port Credit. He studied at Kemptville College in Dairy in 1944. After his inspecting work, the donor worked in the dairy research field most of his life at Agriculture Canada, working with Dr. Doug Emmons first at the Dairy Technology Group, then at the Dairy Technology Research Institute followed by the Food Research Institute and Food Research Center. He co-authored with Dr. Emmons several research articles during his career. Type d'outil utilisé par les testeurs de fromages canadiens.
