CAE is a Canadian company that dates back to just after the Second World War. The development of the CAE Air1 Ventilator was in response to the Canadian government’s call to industry to contribute to the fight against COVID-19. This respirator was the first such technology to receive certification from Health Canada during the pandemic. This made-in-Canada ventilator is made up of over 500 parts which come from 130 Canadian suppliers and since then, the company has developed 8,200 ventilators. Function

This oxygen hose was designed to connect a ventilator to an oxygen source and ensure that oxygen flowed through it at a rate of 50 psi. Ce tuyau à oxygène est conçu pour brancher un ventilateur à une source d'oxygène pour qu'il puisse écouler a taux de 50 psi.

Technical

The unique feature of the Air1 ventilator is the large touch-screen display. The large display allows for the data to be read and recorded by medical personnel from further away and does not require entry into the patient’s room, saving PPE and staff time. The Air1 also uses either room air or pressurized oxygen, an important factor in the event of a shortage in the latter. La caractéristique unique du ventilateur Air1 est qu'il y a un affichage a écran tactile très large. L'écran dune telle taille permet pour la lecture des données et l'enregistrement de ces données par la personnelle médicale d'une distance supérieure. Ceci fait en sorte que la personnelle n'a pas besoin de rentrer dans la chambre d'un patient et ça gagne du temps ainsi que des ressources de EPI. Le Air1 utilise soit de l'air ambiant ou de l'oxygène sous pression. Ceci est très pratique comme caractéristique s'il y a un manque d'oxygène sous pression.

Finish

A white synthetic tube that has brown lettering on its side. It also has a white sticker that has black lettering. One end of the cable has a treaded metal adapter piece that is hexagonal in shape and can be screwed into place. It has an engraving on one of its sides. The other end of the cable has a synthetic circle around a metal adapter that is also threaded and can perform the same function. It is also engraved on one of its sides. Un tuyau synthétique de couleur blanche qui a un lettrage brun sur son côté. Il a aussi un autocollant blanc sur son corps qui a un lettrage noir dessus. Un bout du tuyau a un morceau adaptatrice fait en métal qui est fileté qui est en forme hexagonale. Le morceau adaptatrice peut être visée en place et il est gravé sur un de ces côtés. L'autre bout du tuyau a un autre morceau adaptatrice fait avec une tête circulaire fait avec du matériel synthétique autour d'un métal de couleur argent. La tête est filetée comme l'autre morceau adaptatrice et fonctionne de la même manière pour se brancher. Il est aussi il est gravé sur un de ces côtés.
