- In 1927, Sandy A F Mcdonald crashed a Vedette on Peter Pond Lake. A fork end on a tie rod of the elevator control, was not properly inserted to the tube and broke out. I found the fault in the wreckage, Sandy survived to become Publicity Officer of de Havilland Aircraft Co..
