- Old engine "Oberon" - This locomotive operated on the Great Western Railway between Niagara Falls and Windsor and Toronto and Hamilton prior to 1873. The sign "NG" at the front of the engine signifies narrow gauge. The Great Western had a gauge of 5 feet 6 inches and to accommodate cars from the United States with a gauge of 4 feet 8 ½ inches, it was necessary to lay a middle rail. Whenever a Great Western train hauled cars of mixed gauge the sign "NG" was displayed at the front of the locomotive. The Great Western had another locomotive similar to the "Oberon" called "Prospero".
