- Canadian casualties return - Canadian troops who received wounds in Sicily and Italy and other Mediterranean battle fronts, and victims of accidents in Britain, arrived in Toronto Sunday morning, (Feb. 27) on a special Canadian national Railways hospital train from an Eastern Canadian port, where they arrived February 25th, on the Canadian hospital ship "Lady Nelson", formerly flagship of the Canadian National Steamships. Photograph shows, left to right: Pte. V. Doucette of Toronto, attached to Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, wounded in Italy; Pte. P. Major of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment, wounded in Italy: Pte. H. Sturnagel, R.C.A.S.C., of Preston, Ontario, also wounded in Italy.
