- Luxury liner now invasion ship: H.M.C.S. "Prince David", a luxury liner in the days of peace and an auxiliary cruiser in the early days of the war, is wearing new war paint now. Her once wide decks are cluttered with massive davits and heavy hoisting machinery for landing craft and she is equipped to serve the nerve centre of an amphibious invasion force. Members of her crew are shown here embarking some of the hundreds of tons of stores required to feed her hungry sailors.
