- All over the Canadian National System railroaders are swinging down from freight or passenger trains to book off their run at out of the way points. Railway regulations allow a man to work only a certain number of hours before he must take a compulsory rest. This usually means a man has a home town and a turnabout town where he takes a rest and waits over for a return run. Here Conductor Walter Potts and Brakemen Freddie Prevost swing down from their van at Hornepayne, Ontario and head over to the time office to book off their freight run. The next thing will be for them to find a bed and a welcome shower.
