- Mr. Charles McKnight of Pitts Ltd. explains machine to Mr. Gordon. Close-up and long shots here.Next shots are around the Ingersoll-Rand Quarrymaster which drills hole for dynamite charge. It is set up for first drilling operation to remove rock and lower to grade level at this point. The Quarrymaster drills a 5 ½ inch hole in rock to depths as great as 70 feet so that dynamite charge can be lowered. A 60% dynamite charge 5 inches in diameter by 16 inches is lowered in. Blast from charge removes rock blocking new grade. First drilling started after Pres. Inspected at 11:05 a.m. Sept. 29th. Operator of machine is Alex Horback, crew, Lyle Martin and Bill Hayward.
