" R N CO." (or possibly "N R CO.") painted in elaborate goldtone script on one side of base; decorative motif painted on opposite side. "PELTON & CRANE CO./ DETROIT MICH" incised on metal handgrip collar. "22" incised on topedge of one of main supporting arms. "WATER", "WASTE" and "ELECTRIC WIRE" cast in raised print around openings in base.

Cast metal base and supporting arms painted to imitate rich brown wood finish; gold piping and decorative scrollwork. cuspidor and smaller receptacle are opaque. bright nickel (?) plating of many external fittings, attachment points, valves, etc.
