DUFAYCOLOUR PROCESS DEV'D BY LOUIS D. DUFAY IN FRANCE C.1910. A SCREEN OF SMALL-PARTICLE PRIMARY COLOUR FILTERS WAS LAID DOWN ON THE FILM SUPPORT BASE IN THE FORM OF A DYED GRID PATTERN OVER WHICH THE EMULSION WAS COATED. THE FILM WAS EXPOSED THROUGH THIS BASE. (REF.1 & 3). THE IMAGE WAS VIEWED BY EITHER PROJECTION OR IN A HAND VIEWER LIKE THIS. THE SLIDE WAS INSERTED BEHIND THE GLASS PLATE & VIEWED IN MIRRORED BASE. - Area Notes
