THESE LARGE STATIONARY COIL TYPE GALVANOMETERS WERE STANDARD CURRENTMEASURING INSTRUMENT INTO LAST QUARTER OF 19TH C. & WERE STILL IN USE IN 20TH C.(REFS. 2&3). - Area Notes
