Part of a collection of refrigeration parts and service items from Dr. G. Leslie Oliver. Dr. Oliver added to and documented a collection begun by his late father, of household and automobile technology. Dr. Oliver's father, T.H. Oliver established a refrigeration & electric service business in Aurora, Ont. 1924, the first and oldest such organization in York Region. In 2000, the business was sold but continues to operate under the T.H. Oliver name. - Function

- Bottle front reads "[logo]/ CONTENTS/ 30 AVDP. OZ./ Filtered/ FRIGIDAIRE/ OIL/ MADE IN U.S.A./ [blank] VISCOSITY/ FRIGIDAIRE DIVISION. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. DAYTON, OHIO". Scales labelled "AVOIRDUPOIS OUNCES" and marked "4" through "28", in increments of 2, painted on either side of bottle. Text on bottle back reads "FRIGIDAIRE OIL/ IS FILTERED FREE OF/ DIRT AND MOISTURE/ This oil is specially super-refined to the strict require-/ ments of Frigidaire engineers - - to remove every trace/ of dirt, moisture, wax and gum forming substances - -/ and packaged to stay that way - - to do an outstanding / lubrication job both in the normal refrigerating range/ and at low temperatures./ * YOU CAN CHOOSE/ THE FRIGIDAIRE OIL THAT'S/ EXACTLY RIGHT FOR EVERY JOB/ For use with Freon-12, Freon-22, SO2 and Methyl/ Chloride refrigerants./ Available in quarts and gallons in the 150, 300 and 525/ Viscosity for normal and low temperature applications./ If system is known to be contaminated, drain oil, flush,/ and recharge with proper oil./ * Note: Consult technical data for recommended oils/ for specific compressors./ CAUTION: Replace cover after each use."
