- Front of the box reads: "[large print] COMB/ HONEY/ "Nature's Most Delicious Sweet""/ Right side of box reads: "[large print] COMB/ HONEY/ [small print] Comb Honey for ages has been/ recognized as a pure and de-/ licious natural sweet and many/ references to "the sweetness of/ the honey comb" is to be found/ in ancient literature. Honey is a/ wholesome, healthful, delicious/ and easily digested natural/ sweet. Comb honey takes its/ taste or flavour from the kind/ of flowers that the bees gather/ the honey from, for instance/ honey gathered from clover/ blossoms will taste like smell of/ the clover fields when it bloom,/ that from the basswood takes/ the odor of the basswood/ blossoms and that from buck-/wheat the aroma of the buck-/ wheat fields. At times also the/ bees will gather honey from/ several different kinds of flowers/ at the same time in which case/ no special flavor will be par-/ticularly noticed."/ Left side of box reads: "[large print] HONEY/ IN THE/ COMB [drawing of flowers]"/ Back of box reads: [drawing of flowers; in banner reads] "PURE COMB HONEY/ This honey comb is entirely the product of the bee hives./ The beekeeper furnished the wood frame or section as it is/ called and placed a very thin sheet of wax, known as founda-/ tion in the centre, after which the bees constructed the wax/ cells in which the honey is stored. The honey has been gathered/ from the flowers, deposited in the cells and sealed up entirely/ by the bees. Actually the honey has never been touched by/ hand and is as pure and clean as it possibly can be."/ Next paragraph reads: "Should the honey in the comb show granules it indicates age/ and not adulteration. Most honey will granulate after it/ reaches a certain age, but this does not spoil its food value."/ Below in bold reads: "Du Rucher de,/ From the Apiary of,"/ Top tab reads: "WHERE TO KEEP/ Note - This honey should be kept in a warm, dry place./ Never store in cellar or refrigerator."/ In french text reads: "OU LE GARDER"/ Avis - Ce miel doit etre garde dans un endroit sec et chaud./ Ne le conservez jamais dans une cave ni dans un refrigerateur."
