Technical
The EMO Inhaler was developed in the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics, Oxford. It was introduced in 1956 as a means of providing accurate concentrations of ether for use with the Oxford Inflating Bellows. The letters ‘EMO’ stand for Epstein, Macintosh, Oxford. L’inhalateur EMO a été développé dans le département d’anesthésie de Nuffield, à Oxford. Il a été introduit en 1956 comme un moyen de fournir des concentrations précises d’éther pour une utilisation avec l’Oxford Inflating Bellows. Les lettres « EMO » signifient Epstein, Macintosh, Oxford.
