The original NRC "Talking Clock" which began service in Dec. 1954. The recording was made as a sound track, on photographic film. Photoelectric readers scanned the voice strips which were wrapped around the drum in grooves, one for each of the 24 hours & 60 minutes, & 2 for the preamble. - Off-white clock face bears Arabic numerals, & is marked "ELECTRIQUE/ BRILLIE".

- Unknown. Electrical connections have been severed on all components. From CA of 08/09/1995 by Tony Missio: Undetermined
- Finish
- Metal cabinets have grey enamel finish and bright silver metal trim. Off-white clock face inset in centre front of casing, behind clear glass bezel.
