- NO PIPING INCLUDED Ammendment to original catalogue information: Around the time of collection, an inventory of the parts within the collection was undertaken by Mr. Ron Johnston, a volunteer documentalist from the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Western Australia. From what I can discern, Mr. Johnston produced an inventory and description of the component parts from photographs taken at the time of collection. I don't think that he was actually present at the time of collection. I am assuming that he identified the various items seen in the photographs and then confirmed whether or not these items were actually in the possession of CSTM. Upon reviewing his inventory, it is apparent that the description of a number of items is deficient or lacking all together and in the order of 6-7 items are considering missing or at least were not located. A recent search has found all known items but the ones in question still require a further search. This is difficult with the parts stored as they are but would be made immensely easier if all parts of the collection were retrieved and stored in a single location. A small project to do this will be proposed shortly.
