Function: A COMPONENT USED IN A NUMBER OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC INSTRUMENTS: THE OSCILLATOR PRODUCED A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT WAVE FORMS WHICH WERE FED INTO THE FILTER TO MODIFY THEM (DAVE ROCHELAEU, NRC, 04.03.86)
Technical: ROCHELEAU'S VCO WAS ACCURATE & NOT SUBJECT TO CHANGES IN PITCH AS IT WARMED UP. THE VCO WAS USED IN LE CAINE'S TONE SHIFTER, SONDE, SERIAL SOUND STRUCTURE GENERATOR (SSSG), FUNCTION GENERATOR, POLYPHONE, & PARAMUS. FILTERS WERE WERE USED IN THE SSSG, SPECIAL PURPOSE TAPE RECORDER, & ADJUSTABLE FILTER.
